Pan-European backpacker hostel and bar operator Beds and Bars attended the 2019 Drinks Trade Regatta for a weekend of yacht racing on the Solent Waters from 10th – 12th May.
The event brings together brewers and suppliers from around the UK for a weekend of team building and networking with other companies in the industry, all for a good cause. A £1000 charity donation was generously provided by each of the participating companies.
As well as Beds and Bars, some of the other participants included Zonal, Sky, Magners, Brew & Press, Anglican Country Inns, Jagermeister and more.
On Friday morning, each team picked up their yacht from Port Solent ahead of their weekend of round the cans racing with a prize-giving ceremony for the top teams. This year the race winner was Jagermeister.
Beds and Bars came in 2nd place and were rewarded with 30% of their share going to a charity of their choice. In total, around 24k was raised for charity through the event.
The Drinks Trade Regatta ended with a glamorous gala dinner at the Royal Yacht Squadron. Overall the event was a brilliant opportunity to network with other industry professionals within hospitality and it was a great weekend out on the water racing. We thank the team at Sunsail, RORC and the Cowes Event Centre for organising such a brilliant weekend for us.
